发坑村位于麒麟镇西北部，靠近五峰山，发坑溪穿村而过。村中的发坑致祥祠属市县级文物保护单位。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

发坑村原属普宁县第四区麒麟乡，1953年先组成发坑农业合作社，1960年设立大队，沿用此名直到1966年麒麟划为公社之后。1984年它成为麒麟区下属的发坑乡，1986年麒麟改镇后随之改为村委会，1990年一度称管理区，1999年再度确定为村委会，至今沿用。[1]

2019年9月，发坑村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2023年12月，被认定为「揭阳市2023年市级森林乡村」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

发坑致祥祠位于发坑村，建于1945年，属近现代重要史迹及代表性建筑。1961年10月10日由普宁县人民委员会公布，列第一批；2023年经普宁市人民政府核定保护范围。[1][3]
