平宝山村位于省道236线镇区北侧，别称林口山，村民以种植绿化苗木和外出务工为主。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地明代归黄坑都管辖，属下社林口山乡。1948年12月起划入普宁县南溪区。1976年8月改归广太公社，编为平宝山生产大队；1991年起称管理区，1999年定名平宝山村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

据百度百科，明末有洪姓人家迁居此地，此后多姓聚居。村名因背山面平原的地势而得。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2026年1月，村庄获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
