历史沿革[edit]
广太圩原在山后村一带，称广平圩。据传因一枚铜钱买豉油引起纠纷，圩市迁往太山洋，改名广太圩。圩市创办于清同治二年（1863年）。[2][3]
解放前后，此地的归属几经变化，先归钟堂区，再归普宁第一区、第八区，当时称居民小组。1958年改入南溪公社，称南溪居民小组；1974年复回广太公社；1984年划归广太区。1990年设广太居民管理区，1999年定名广太居委会，2002年起为社区居委会。[1][2]
