北溪村是广东省揭阳市普宁市南溪镇下辖的行政村，位于普宁市区东北面。村子因北面临溪而得名，村北的溪即榕江南河。[1]

村地势平坦，属冲积小平原，耕地1113亩，主产柑橘、稻谷和甘薯。淡水养鱼有一定规模。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明宣德年间（1426年至1435年），张氏一支迁来此地定居。村子北面临溪，因而称北溪。[1]

新中国成立前，村子名东乡北溪村。解放初期属普宁第八区，设北溪乡。1956年合作化时，村中成立先丰高级社；1958年公社化后改称溪丰大队。1984年改为区，设北溪乡，隶属南溪区；1987年设北溪村委会，属南溪镇；1990年为北溪管理区；1999年再次定名北溪村委会。[1]

革命历史[edit]

村中每年端午节有赛龙舟的传统，自清代延续至今。杨石魂曾在此地传播革命思想。抗日战争至解放战争期间，地下党员、进步人士和游击队员曾在村中开展活动。村子属革命老区。[1]
