玉竹港村是广东省揭阳市普宁市南溪镇下辖的行政村，原名白竹涧，又称玉竹港，后简称玉竹。[1]

村有耕地500亩，主产蕉柑，有小学1所。棉梅公路从村旁经过。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明朝中期，潮阳荆竹埔一带的移民迁来此地居住。村前有一条溪涧，岸边长满绿竹，俗称白竹涧。“涧”与“港”在潮语中读音相近，雅称便改为玉竹港。[1]

1954年村子属平山管区；1984年改为浮山管区；1993年设玉竹港村委会，1999年再次定名玉竹港村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村子上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
