玉滘村是广东省揭阳市普宁市南溪镇下辖的行政村，原名赤滘，1949年改为今名。村子西南面为丘陵坡地，引榕总干渠从山坡经过。[1][2]
村有耕地728亩，多为水田。村中种植柑橘、大蒜等作物，并饲养奶牛、养殖淡水鱼。揭普高速公路横穿村境。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明宣德年间，韦氏一支从福建省莆田石榴花街迁来。因村前有水滘，常受山洪冲注，水色泛红，故名赤滘。后为求雅称，以玉代赤，1949年定为玉滘。[1]
乾隆五十二年有人在此建寨，寨名赤滘韦。新中国成立前此地属普宁县浮山乡，解放初方改称玉滘村，仍归浮山乡。1958年并入平山公社，编为玉滘大队；同年改区，设乡，属南溪区。1987年设村委会，归南溪镇；1990年为管理区；1999年恢复村委会名称，至今未变。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年3月，村子被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。2019年9月，村子上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
