下尾王村是广东省揭阳市普宁市南溪镇下辖的行政村，又名霞美村。村的东北两面与揭阳交界，地处洪阳河与榕江汇流的一带。[1]

村内的节孝坊是一座清代石牌坊，目前是文物。村民历来多以水上运输为业，村中也有烧砖瓦的传统。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

南宋时期，一支王姓族人自福建莆田的乌衣巷一带迁居此地。明代，这里属普宁县黄坑都下社，称霞美村。[1]

1949年前，村子属美德乡。1956年村名改为美丰。1958年归南溪公社，编入两美大队，之后又称美丰大队。1984年设下尾王乡，划入南溪区。1987年设下尾王村委会，属南溪镇。1990年改设管区，1999年恢复村委会建制，名称延续至今。[1]

经济[edit]

村有耕地680亩，以柑橘为主要作物。村中有一家集体企业，两家个体企业，另有13户个体加工作坊，均据博雅地名网所载。[1]

村子坐落在洪阳河注入榕江的交汇处，福建、饶平、南澳一带装载贝类的船只常在此停靠，村子因此成为贝壳和灰贝的集散点。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

节孝坊为表彰王学庠之母杨氏守节、王学庠尽孝而立，建于清代康熙朝第四十五年（1706年）。坊为四柱三间三楼式石牌坊，庑殿顶，通面宽5.35米，高5.6米。[2]

关于节孝坊的文物级别，三处资料说法不同。博雅地名网的村情页称其为市级文物保护单位；博雅地名网的景点页写作1988年由普宁县公布为文物保护单位；百度百科则记载，该坊于2015年12月10日列入「第八批广东省文物保护单位」。[1][2][3]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，村子被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。2019年9月，村子上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
