历史沿革[edit]

1949年11月起属五和乡，村名为马湖；1979年改设马湖大队；1984年4月定名马湖村；1987年归洪阳镇，称马湖村委会；1993年起改为马湖管理区；1999年改为马湖村委会，沿用至今。[1]

2024年3月，马湖村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」；2019年9月，马湖村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
