新东坑村是大坝镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域北部，远离镇区。[1]

据百度百科，村庄清中期由方氏族人迁来建村，因三面环山、中部有坑道而得名。聚落呈块状分布，属革命老区，村内以果林种植为主。2023年常住人口670人。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1977年，新东坑从原队分出，单独设立大队。1984年改属大坝区，设新东坑乡；1986年改属大坝镇，设新东坑村民委员会；1990年改设管理区；1999年再改为村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，新东坑村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1][2]
