老东坑村位于大坝镇北部，在铁山北麓，远离镇区，距镇区约5公里。[1][2]
据百度百科，清中期由方氏分支迁居形成村落，因三面环山且中部有自东向西的坑道而得名。村内以果林种植为主，青梅、杨梅、橄榄等水果较多。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
1977年拆队，东坑从原队中独立出来，自成一队。1984年改属大坝区，设老东坑乡；1986年改属大坝镇，设老东坑村民委员会；1990年改设管理区；1999年再改为村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年9月，老东坑村入选第二批广东省级「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，产业为蛋鸡。[1]
