新锡村地处大坝镇东边，省道236线穿村，离普宁市区北面约9公里，地形为半丘陵。[1][2]

村中住房多是砖瓦平房，传统潮汕式的“下山虎”“四点金”民居是主要样式；村民同为林姓。2025年户籍人口2949人。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1968年析出后，新锡自成一个大队；1984年划归大坝区；1986年划归大坝镇，设新锡村民委员会；1990年设管理区；1999年又改为村民委员会。[1]
