白坑村是大坝镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域西南部，毗邻燎原镇，距普宁市区约7.7公里。村名来自村南的白坑湖，元末明初有多姓移民由福建迁入。[1][2][4]

村民说潮汕话，以种植粮食和蔬菜为主，出产蜜桃、杨桃，生姜种植也较为发达。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后，村庄的建制几经变动。1958年公社化时析出，设白坑大队；1984年划归大坝区，设白坑乡；1986年划归大坝镇，改设白坑村民委员会；1990年改设管理区；1999年又改为村民委员会，此后未再更名。[1]

2023年12月，白坑村被认定为「揭阳市2023年市级森林乡村」。2026年1月，该村获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」，并上榜「2025年广东省美丽庭院特色村」名单。[1]

经济[edit]

近年，村里以撂荒耕地改造为抓手，发展生姜种植，并完成相应基地的高标准农田建设。[3]

2025年1月的一篇报道称，村里探索出污水治理、资源化利用与茭白种植相结合的模式：村民排放的生活污水经管网收集、处理后，用于灌溉茭白田。[5]

文化[edit]

村内建有象鼻山公园和红色文化广场，门口局片的传统民居经外立面提升，保留了潮汕传统建筑的风格。[3][4]

2021年，白坑村与九江村、杜香寮村一道，被列为升级打造的红色旅游品牌路线的爱国主义教育主阵地。[6]
