新六村是大南山街道下辖的行政村，位于三坑下库西侧，地处山区，耕地较少，村民大多外出务工，村集体经济主要靠山地承包。[1]
2019年9月，本村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
此地原属陂洋乡。公社化时期，新六大队合并了汤坑仔、顶下湖、牛角湾、大池纳、青山脚、明輋六个自然村。1960年以后修建三坑下水库，顶下湖、汤坑仔、大池纳陆续迁走，现今尚存明輋、青山脚与大埔（牛角湾）三处自然村。[1]
1983年12月废社设区后改属大南山区；1987年3月撤区建镇，单独设立新六村委会，隶属大南山镇。1991年3月起称新六管理区，1999年定名新六村委会。[1]
