2026年1月，本村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村称号。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地原属七益乡。1958年公社化时期成立和美大队；1987年撤区建镇后，单独设立和美村委会，隶属大南山镇。1991年3月设为和美管理区，1999年改称村委会，沿用至今。[1]
