大南山街道是广东省揭阳市普宁市下辖的街道，位于普宁市南部，南面与惠来县相邻。街道因位于大南山山脉北面而得名。2013年2月26日，大南山镇被撤销，改设大南山街道。[2][3][6]
街道南部是大南山系。土地革命时期，东江特委驻在大南山革命根据地，锡坑村等地留有红军医院和县革命委员会的旧址；什石洋辉祖祠、萧端蒙墓等则是文物保护单位。[1][4]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时期此地属普宁县。民国时期平原各村归普宁县第二区管辖，地处山区的锡坑乡则在1935年10月改由南山管理局管辖。[1][3]
1930年至1935年的土地革命时期，东江特委驻在大南山革命根据地，其所在地划入潮普惠县苏维埃政府的大南山特区。[1]
1950年起改属普宁县第三区。1957年撤区后设立大南山乡，此后并入流沙人民公社；1962年再从中分出，成立大南山人民公社。[3]
1983年撤销公社，改设大南山区；1985年，镇址由石头墟迁往平头岭；1986年撤区后设立大南山镇。[3]
大南山镇此后一直沿用至2013年，当年2月26日撤销，改为大南山街道。[3][6]
地理环境[edit]
南部是大南山系，山峰海拔在300至1000米之间，其中望天顶为普宁第二高峰，海拔972米。北面的平头岭把街道与市区隔开，山脚以南是练江支流白马溪冲出的宽阔谷地。[1]
街道面积有两个数字。博雅地名网与百度百科载为93.4平方千米，《普宁统计年鉴—2023》的行政区划表则载为103.10平方千米。[1][5][8]
境内有三坑上水库与三坑下水库两座中型水库，另有桂竹园和河田坝两座小一型水库。[1]
这里属南亚热带季风区，气候湿润多雨，年平均气温21.3℃，降水量的多年平均值介于1400至2400毫米。[1]
人口[edit]
第七次全国人口普查标准时点为2020年11月1日零时，街道常住人口为33709人，占全市常住人口的1.69%。[7]
截至2023年11月30日，户籍总人口为43395人，共10181户，其中城镇人口13237人。[8]
名胜古迹[edit]
锡坑村是街道内革命旧址最集中的地方。中共普宁县委曾在大南山设后方机构，1927年底组建后方委员会；其下的后方医疗所设在吴爷宫，1929年改为「中国工农红军第二、四师野战医院」，今称「中国工农红军第二、四师野战医院旧址（吴爷宫）」。[4]
普宁县农民代表大会在锡坑村开会，会期为1929年11月中旬，会上选出了县革命委员会，委员会办公地点设在西祠堂。两处祠堂如今称「普宁县革命委员会成立旧址（西祠堂、和祖祠）」。[4]
其他文物与名胜还有：「什石洋辉祖祠」（1928年建，县级文物保护单位，在什石洋村）、「萧端蒙墓」（明嘉靖年间，在灰寨村）、「邓宝珍烈士墓」（1928年，在陂沟村）、「宝龙寺」（在益岭村）和「藏莲寺」（在灰寨村）。[4][9][10]
