渔新村是燎原街道东部的行政村，又名溪畔，与大坝镇接壤，村内有练江支流穿过。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

明末，福建移民迁入此地，与他村杂居，村民以捕鱼为业，故原称「渔清湖」。清末分出另立，始称渔新村；因村委会驻地设在此村，遂以此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国十年（1921年）属流沙区。1958年改设渔新村大队，隶属大坝公社，1974年起改隶燎原公社；1983年改隶燎原区，此时称渔新乡。[3]

1991年设渔新管区，隶属燎原镇；1999年成立村委会；2013年起改由燎原街道管辖。[3]
