夏地村是燎原街道的行政村，地处普宁市区西北部，三面是山，地形以丘陵为主。[1][2]

地名与沿革[edit]

明初（1368年），福建夏氏迁来居住，村名取为夏地。[3][2]

明嘉靖四十二年（1563年）置村。[2]

民国十年（1921年）起由大坝镇半径乡公所辖管，1955年改隶普宁第七区。1974年划入燎原公社，村称夏地大队；1983年改隶燎原区，设夏地乡；1986年划入燎原镇，称夏地村。[3]

1991年设夏地管区，1999年称夏地村委会，2013年起属燎原街道。[3]

古迹[edit]

湖山岩在村内，建于清朝，是第一批市县级文物保护单位，1961年10月10日由普宁县人民委员会公布。[4][1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
