流沙北街道是广东省揭阳市普宁市的一个街道，位于市区中心，是普宁市委、市政府的所在地。街道由原流沙镇设立，因位于该镇北面而得名。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

流沙圩始建于清康熙五十一年（1712年）。民国时期这里是普宁县第二区的区署所在地，1949年普宁县人民政府设于此。[3]

1964年11月，流沙镇从流沙人民公社中分出，成为县城所在的镇。1986年12月，流沙区建制取消，所辖地域归入流沙镇。[3]

2000年12月3日，广东省政府同意撤销流沙镇并设立流沙北街道。[3]

地理环境[edit]

街道东面临新河西岸，南靠流沙大道，西以金池路为界，北面与燎原镇接壤。国道324线和省道1930线经过辖区。据2023年统计，辖区面积为7.84平方千米。[2][4]

人口[edit]

截至2023年末，街道户籍人口为74683人，户数为25779户。[4]

经济[edit]

街道的市场建设起步较早，辖区有中药材、服装和纺织品等专业市场，商贸活跃。[2]

街道先后两次列入淘宝镇名单，分别为2020年和2021年发布的名单。[1]
