泗竹埔村位于普宁市区东南约2.6公里处，是革命老区，也是重点侨乡。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

明正德年间（1506～1512年），江、罗、吕等姓居民迁来定居。这里荆棘丛生、竹林成片，原名刺竹埔。清初取江、罗二字的部首合成“泗”字，改称今名。[1][2]

文化与教育[edit]

村中有育光中学。清顺治元年（1644年），吕东阳从江西来到村里教书办学，还带着村民治理13乡的水利；他去世后，村人建吕公亭以纪念。[2]

人口与侨乡[edit]

村内有村民1503户，总人口8000人。海外侨胞有0.6万多人，多居东南亚。[2]

经济与交通[edit]

村民以务工、经商为主，兼营农业。主导产业为纺织和服装加工。环城南路、揭神路、普宁大道和睦邻大道贯穿村境。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，泗竹埔村先后入选「2020年淘宝村」「2021年淘宝村」「2022年淘宝村」名单。[2]
