社区名称得自原后坛村，居委会驻地即在此处。2001年村改居，2002年再改为社区居民委员会，名称保留至今。[1]

概况[edit]

这里是革命老区。社区有住户343户，设居民小组4个。[1]

辖区内90%以上劳动力从事二、三产业，主导产业为服装加工、纺织和珠绣，有集体企业2家。文竹路、环城南路是市区的主要交通要道，区内有医药商店、小超市、银行和酒店等便民设施。[1]
