里宅社区位于流沙南街道东南面，距市区约1公里，属于城乡结合区。[1]
地名与沿革[edit]
相传这里是元末张姓居民所建的村落，初名大宅。明弘治八年（1495年），沈、杨、陈等姓居民聚居于此，改为今名。“里宅”之名，一说是这一带住宅被几个寨子围在中间。[1]
2001年村改居，2002年改设里宅社区居委会，名称延用到今天。[1]
