流沙东街道是广东省揭阳市普宁市的一个街道，位于市城区中部偏东北，前身为流沙镇。中华新城步行街、普宁国际商品城、市人民医院和原流沙镇政府驻地均在其辖区内。[1][2]

街道是广东省技术创新专业镇，辖区内的纺织服装产业较为发达。[2][4]

历史沿革[edit]

流沙圩于清康熙五十一年（1712年）建立。民国时期，流沙是普宁县第二区区署所在地；1949年后成为普宁县人民政府驻地。[3][6]

流沙于1964年11月自流沙人民公社分出设镇，并成为县城所在地。随后的1983年，公社改为流沙区；1986年12月区建制取消，原辖地划入流沙镇。[3]

广东省人民政府于2000年12月3日予以批准：流沙镇被取消，改为流沙东街道。街道名称得自其位于原流沙镇东部的位置。[3][5]

经济[edit]

纺织服装是街道的支柱产业，以内衣生产为主。2009年9月，在全国纺织产业集群发展研讨会上，街道被授予「中国内衣名镇」称号。[2]

街道拥有中国驰名商标「名鼠」1件，另有多件广东省著名商标。[4]

街道在2020年、2021年和2022年列入中国淘宝镇名单（博雅地名网），普宁市人民政府网站称其6年来连续上榜。辖区内的多个村先后列入中国淘宝村名单。[1][4]

名胜古迹[edit]

北山村的北山村有铁峰寺和许阿梅墓，两者都是县级文物保护单位。铁峰寺的年代为1845年至1855年，属近现代重要史迹；许阿梅墓为清末墓葬。[7][8]

辖区内的玉环社区有莲花寺，为历史文物。该寺由潮汕名僧根乐法师于1914年在其师兄根宽和尚的支持下创建。[2][9]
