蕉布村是惠来县侨园镇下辖的行政村，村名因村周围遍生蕉麻而来。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村周围遍生蕉麻（俗称「劳投麻」），可以用来织布，故名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
南宋末年，已有零星村民在此居住；清初，官、许等姓相继迁来，现今以陈、卢、林三姓居多。[1]
1949年至1958年为村，1958年改为大队，其间1972年至1979年隶属兵营公社。1979年3月至1995年归大南山侨场管辖，设为蕉布管理区，1995年起才改称村委会。[1]
荣誉称号[edit]
- 2021年9月，本村列入省农业农村厅公布的第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（茶叶）名单。[1]
