新厝埕村是惠来县侨园镇下辖的行政村，村名取自村驻地前的一块大埕。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代天启年间（1621），陈姓人家从福建泉州来此落户。1956年，庄、朱、翁等姓由惠城镇迁入定居，如今村子以陈姓为主。[1]

1949年至1958年，村名为新厝埕村。1959年至1960年间隶属溪西公社，并设为新厝埕大队；此后由大南山侨场管辖，仍保留大队名称，1979年改为管理区，2005年起设新厝埕村委会。[1]
