螃蟹村位于葵潭东部，原为青山乡人民政府驻地。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历，据博雅地名网：村子地形似螃蟹，因而得名。[1]
明弘治十四年（1501）张、陈、欧、邱、朱等姓已在此居住。嘉靖三十年（1551）袁姓迁来聚居，逐渐形成村落，今以袁、邱两姓为主。[2]
1928年，「苏维埃第五区政府」曾设于「武高山寺」（又称螃蟹庵），彭湃夫妇也曾来此经过。[2]
1974年4月至2003年12月，村子是青山乡人民政府驻地；2004年青山乡撤销，村子并入葵潭镇。[2]
人口与经济[edit]
2009年底，全村总人口1703人。耕地1172亩，其中水田981亩、山地13500亩。村民主要收入来自农业，种植荔枝、菠萝等特色农产品。[1]
