北山埔村位于葵潭东部，原与青山乡相接。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历，据博雅地名网：相传当地有一种鸟，鸣声如“北山埔好”，一位地理先生结合地形取名为北山埔。[1]

明万历年间，吴、黄、罗、梁、汪、陈、张、钟等姓先后在此居住；其后罗、梁、汪姓迁往外地，吴、黄、陈、张、钟等姓留居。[1]

1996年，村子分出独立，先设管区办事处，1999年6月起称村委会。[1]

2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予北山埔村「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

2009年底，全村总人口720人。耕地537亩，其中水田337亩、山地682亩。村民收入以农业为主，种植冬瓜、荔枝、李仔等。[1]
