吉镇村位于葵潭东部，厦深铁路穿村而过，葵潭镇的火车客货运站设在该村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明嘉靖年间（1521～1566），廖、古、詹等姓已在此定居，当时村名叫“桔子葛”。嘉靖四十五年（1566），黄平山自福建南靖迁来，沿用旧村名；后因“桔子”有吉祥之意，雅称“吉镇”。[1]
吉镇村于2023年5月获广东省爱卫会评定，属「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
2009年底，全村总人口5092人。耕地1768亩，其中水田799亩、山地7000亩。村民收入以农业为主。[1]
杨桃是本村的主要特产，远销深圳、广州、普宁等地；荔枝、李仔、菠萝也是特色农产品。[1]
