历史沿革[edit]
1949年后，此地先后为村、大队、乡政府、村委会和管理区。1999年6月至2002年5月，村委会与居委会先后更名并存；2002年6月起合并为居委会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
2009年底，社区共9699人、2510户。耕地1166亩（水田458亩、山地1900亩）。[1]
厂矿有「揭阳市港丰酱油厂」「怡景电子厂」「常乐饮料厂」等，文娱场所以葵潭影剧院为主。[1]
