虎堀村位于鳌江镇北侧，距镇区约5公里，由4个自然村组成，属老苏区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村址处于山地的凹处，村后山丘形似卧虎，故名虎堀。[1]

清乾隆二十五年（1760年），蔡姓在此置村。1949年称虎堀村，1958年至1983年公社化期间改为大队，1983年至1986年改设乡政府，1987年至1999年为管理区，1999年改为村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

2024年3月，虎堀村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
