清代龙溪都的澳头里即今沃上村所在，清代举人郑雷震的原籍便在这里。[2]

其下两个自然村地处偏僻，大多村民外出谋生，村庄基本成为空壳村。[1]

沃上村曾是省定贫困村。[3]
