东岱村是鳌江镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域东侧，属老苏区，距镇区约5公里。村名的由来与一段地名沿革有关。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明正德年间（1506～1521年）一支李姓人家自福建莆田迁到此地，由此立村。1958年起的公社化时期改为大队；1983年至1986年间经区乡制改革，改设乡政府；1987年至1999年为管理区，1999年成立村委会。[1]
村名原作「东埭」，因所在地处塭地上坝之东侧而取名。明嘉靖年间的本府志与近代区域记载多作「东岱」，两字潮音相同，遂改用此名。[1]

2024年3月，东岱村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
