埔洋村是广东省揭阳市惠来县溪西镇下辖的行政村，是全镇最南端的村，濒临南海。村名由「牛埔洋」演变而来，1976年简称埔洋。[1][2][3]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

村地为荒沙地带，四周多是低洼地，宜于放牧牛羊，古时叫牛埔洋；1956年改名浮埔洋，到1976年才简称埔洋。[1]

1949年至1958年，村属南海农林场。1958年曾办初级社、高级社；1958年至1983年公社期间，与另一大队合并。1976年独立设立埔洋大队。[1]

1983年至1986年为埔洋乡政府，1987年至1999年为埔洋管理区，1999年改为埔洋村委会，沿用至今。[1]

2004年，南海乡撤销建制，本村改由溪西镇管辖。[3]
