溪南村是广东省揭阳市惠来县溪西镇下辖的行政村，位于镇区东南部，龙江河下游南岸，距镇区约3.8千米，离南海入海口仅3千米。村名取自迁居者的原籍潮阳县溪南乡。[1][2]

地理与人口[edit]

村由溪南、水口上、水口下三个自然村组成，村址设在溪南村。全村人口3755人（未注年份），土地1.9平方千米；水田837亩与旱园243亩合计耕地1080亩。作物以水稻、萝卜、花生为主。[1]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

明正德年间，陈氏自潮阳县溪南乡迁来此地定居，以故里之名为村名。水口上、水口下两个自然村则由庄氏聚居而成。[2]

1949年后村曾称乡，办过初级社、高级社；1958年至1983年为大队，1983年至1986年为乡政府，1987年至1999年为管理区，1999年改为村委会。[2]

教育与设施[edit]

村中有溪南小学和水口小学两所，教职工11人，在校学生315人。溪南学校设施配套齐全，本村陈娘泰、陈伟佳等人捐款150多万元，将其建成；水口小学则由旅居香港的人士庄声源出资建成。[1]

村中建有村办公大楼，村道已经拓宽改造，可直通镇区，并接通了自来水。[1]

荣誉与人物[edit]

1998年，村获评惠来县文明单位；2001年，村获惠来县综治委评为安全文明小区。[1]

村中青年陈永龙在济南军区服役期间参加长江抗洪，并参加了国庆五十周年大阅兵，其事迹曾被中央媒体报道。[1]

2023年11月，村入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村名单；2024年3月，村被命名为2023年广东省卫生村。[2]
