清平村是广东省揭阳市惠来县溪西镇下辖的行政村，位于镇区西北部，在龙江河上游南岸，距镇区约4.9千米。村名取自清同治年间的赠名，是革命老区村。[1][2]

地理与人口[edit]

村委会驻清平自然村，下辖的自然村计有清平、双洋、吉内、溪洋和叶厝共五处。全村人口3997人（未注年份）。土地2.2平方千米，其中耕地1191亩：水田514亩，旱地667亩；另有山地458亩。耕地分布在龙江河两岸，村中历来设有渡口，便于行人往来。[1]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

明代中叶，李氏从揭西县河婆迁来定居，取名李厝乡。清同治年间，乡老请巡视的潮州总兵方耀南赠名，改称清平。[2]

新中国成立后村曾称乡，并办过初级社、高级社；1958年至1983年为大队，1983年至1986年为乡政府，1987年至1999年为管理区，1999年改为村委会。[2]

革命历史[edit]

1948年，村成立地下武装队；同年9月，五个自然村相继设立村政府及农会、民兵，民兵共70人。1949年1月，五村民兵与农民一百余人参与了围攻隆江的行动。[1]

经济与设施[edit]

村中水果种植面积367亩，以荔枝、李子为主，省道葵和公路经过村前。村中有小学一所，教职工12人，在校学生452人。[1]
