西卫村是广东省揭阳市惠来县溪西镇下辖的行政村，位于镇区西南部，距镇区约1.9千米，离深汕高速公路出入口很近，省道葵和公路经村前而过。博雅地名网作「西尉村」，此处依据数据库及统计用区划所载，写作「西卫村」。[1][2][3]
地理与人口[edit]
全村人口2690人（未注年份），土地2.1平方千米；水田334亩与旱园426亩合计耕地760亩，另有山、沙地880亩。村中水果种植面积250亩，作物有水稻、甜瓜、荔枝等。[1]
近年村中以瓜类为主的反季节蔬菜较多，据博雅地名网所载，种有黄瓜400亩，亩产350公斤。[1]
地名与历史沿革[edit]
明万历年间，詹氏迁来置居，因地处祖籍之西，取其安慰之意，故名西尉。[1]
1948年，村成立地下武装队；同年9月，村政府及农会、民兵相继设立，民兵40人。1949年2月，村民兵参加了解放隆江、甲子、惠城的战斗。村属革命老区。[1]
1998年，村获评惠来县文明单位。[1]

村中有西尉小学和惠来精英学校两所学校，教职工31人，在校学生762人。[1]
