地理与人口[edit]
村地处镇区中心，隆甲公路从村中经过。全村人口3653人（未注年份）。土地约1.2平方千米，耕地908亩：水田610亩，旱园298亩；另有山地100亩。耕作以水稻、蔬菜和荔枝为主。[1]
村民由张、吴、李等姓聚居而成，因地处龙溪西岸得名溪西。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1980年12月，溪西分为两个行政村，原溪西下村即为溪一村。新中国成立后，村一度称溪西乡；1958年至1983年公社期间改称大队；1983年至1986年为乡政府，1987年至1999年改称管理区，1999年起设村委会。[1]
村下分四个片社，即溪西圩、竹园社、张厝社和高地社。[2]
经济与设施[edit]
近年村被镇定为经济商贸区，已初步形成一定规模的商贸小区，村中有染纸、汽车修配等行业。村中设有溪西小学，有教职工34人，在校学生1096人。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，溪一村上榜广东省2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[2] 1999年，惠来县综治委授予该村安全文明小区的称号。[1]
