赤二村属隆江镇。该村原与赤一村同为赤岑，1977年龙江河改道后，大队分作东西两片，此为西片。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

清顺治五年（1648年），多姓从各地迁来定居。此地在龙江河下游，有赤色沙地，故称赤岑。1990年赤岑分设管理区，西片定名赤二。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1977年河道改变，原先的赤岑大队一分为二，西侧一片此后叫赤二。1979年重称赤岑大队，其后设赤岑经济合作社。1983年至1986年改设赤岑乡政府，1987年改为村委会。[3]
