赤一村位于龙江河下游，属隆江镇。清初此地称赤岑，1990年分设两个管理区，东片定名赤一。[1]

地名由来[edit]

清顺治五年（1648年）起，多姓陆续在此定居。因地处龙江河下游，有赤色沙地，原名赤岑。1990年，赤岑分设两个管理区，东片称赤一。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年设赤岑乡，属隆江区；1949年至1958年办过农业社；1958年后为大队，隶属溪西公社；1960年南海场设立，此地划归其管辖；1977年龙江河改道，耕地变成河床，村民因此产生分歧，大队分为东西两片。1983年至1986年改设赤岑乡政府，1987年至1989年改为赤岑村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，赤一村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
