尾寮村位于大南山南麓的山区，距镇区12千米，是革命老区村，属隆江镇。村名因明万历年间黄氏在溪流末端搭寮而得。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

明万历五年（1578年），黄氏自盐坑来此搭寮居住。此处位于寮地和溪流末端，建村初期多为草寮，因而得名尾寮。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村其范围包括鲤鱼墩、埔下、盐坑、朱屋寨、下寮等处，共六个聚落点。合作化时期先后设立初级社与高级社；1958年至1973年归葵潭公社管辖，设大队；1974年改归青山公社管辖；1983年至1986年设乡政府，1987年至1989年为村委会，1989年至1999年为管理区，1999年又为村委会。[1]

村中有百年以上的古榕树6棵、古芒果树5棵。[3]
