海埕村位于葵和路南约3千米处，属隆江镇，地势低洼、临近海边。村名的来由：每逢大雨洪水漫溢，水退后地面留下一片黄泥。[1]
地名由来[edit]
明万历二十二年（1594年），庄姓人从潮阳城西门外迁来开村。村地低洼近海，大雨时洪水漫过，退水后便留下黄泥平地，于是称作海埕。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年至1958年称海埕乡，办过初、高级社；1960年独立设大队；1983年改设海埕乡；1987年改为村委会；1989年改为管理区；1999年又为村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，海埕村列入2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
