鹅豆村位于总铺洋北侧约2千米处，属隆江镇。村名取自村后山丘形似鹅、南面一座小丘圆如豆。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子背靠山丘，形状如鹅，南面一丘地形浑圆如豆，因此称鹅豆。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明万历年间（1550年至1562年），张、苏二姓从福建莆田县迁来定居。民国18年（1929年）设乡苏维埃政权；民国27年（1938年）成立乡青年抗日救亡团体，同年10月设立中共鹅豆支部。新中国成立后办过初、高级社，1958年至1983年为大队，1983年至1986年设乡政府，1987年至1989年为村委会，1989年至1999年为管理区，1999年又为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，鹅豆村列入2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
