前埔村位于总铺洋中部丘陵一带，距县城9千米，属隆江镇。村名源于村前的一片山埔。[1]

地名由来[edit]

明永乐初（1403年至1410年）钟姓从华清迁来创基，因村前有一片山埔，命名为前埔。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初期办过初、高级社，1973年至1983年独立设为大队，1983年至1986年改设乡政府，1987年至1999年为管理区，1999年改为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，前埔村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
