凤红村位于镇中部，靠近葵和公路南侧，属隆江镇。村名的变化经过：明末因地形似飞凤，原称凤镇；1958年才定名凤红。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

元至正二十四年（1364年），二世祖都巡公在巨镇里立居。明末崇祯十四年（1641年），村址被看作飞凤之形，遂改称凤镇，村内林姓居东、朱姓居西。1958年才改为凤红。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

彭湃于1928年在村内梅友祖祠组织农会会议，村庄因此属革命老区。[2]

1949年至1958年办过农业社，1958年至1983年为大队，1983年至1986年设乡政府，1987年至1989年改为村委会，1989年至1999年为管理区，之后又为村委会。[1]

人物[edit]

朱嘉璟（1589～1668）是明代龙溪都巨镇里人，地在今凤红村；朱陈（1661～1752）为清代龙溪都巨镇乡人，也是今凤红村一带的人。[3]
