桥埔村在隆江镇东北部，属镇乡结合区。村名来自村东南龙江支流上的一座石桥，那座桥是由县城赴隆江的要道。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村东南的龙江支流上旧有石桥，当地叫它“桥头埔”，后来简称“桥埔”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代已有人家居住，当时以杨、白二姓为主。村地原系黄泥山埔，故初称“赤岗”。清初朱姓迁入。1949年至1958年办过初、高级社，1958年至1983年为生产大队，1983年至1986年设乡政府，1987年至1999年为管理区，1999年改为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，桥埔村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
