后吉村位于镇东北面约3千米处，属隆江镇，村名寓意万事吉祥。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代村中已有陈、黄、李诸姓定居。明永乐年间（1403年至1424年）郑姓自潮阳神山迁入，其他姓氏陆续迁走，郑氏因此兴旺。新中国成立后设乡公所，1958年至1983年改为大队，1983年至1986年改为乡政府，1987年至1989年改为村委会，1989年至1999年为管理区，1999年再改村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中的名胜古迹有后刈西山古寺，博雅地名网称其为省、市两级重点文物保护单位。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，后吉村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
