峰霞村位于隆江镇西北部，原名“鳐下”，土地革命时期改名峰霞。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村南是平地，三面群山环抱。土地革命战争时期，村庄曾为县领导机关驻地，于是改名“峰霞”，寓意革命事业如旭日东升，景色如彩霞。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清初，叶氏祖妈带着两个儿子从福建泉州逃荒来此，搭寮垦荒，开始立村，原名鳐下。[1]

1928年设村苏维埃。1931年至1936年村庄遭国民党军队焚毁，1937年以后有130多名村民陆续返回重建。解放战争期间（1946年），大南山的一处联络站便设在村内。1949年后成立农会与合作社；1958年至1983年为大队，1983年至1986年设乡政府，1987年至1999年改为管区，1999年定名村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，峰霞村列入2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
