史岭村在隆江镇北部，属隆江镇。村名的来历与明末村中先祖获封御史有关。[1]
地名由来[edit]
此处原是附近村民放牧的荒岗，俗称“牛屎岭”。明末，村中先祖曾获封御史，村名遂称“御史岭”；1949年后简称史岭。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
佘、严二姓在明末先后自福建莆田一带迁来，开辟村落。1949年至1958年办过初、高级社，1983年分出设乡政府，1987年至1999年为管理区，之后改村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，史岭村列入2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2023年5月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
