邦山村位于隆青公路沿线约4千米处，属隆江镇，村中有龙江流过，是革命老区。村名的来历与一次山崩有关：南宋时此地名凤山，元至元二十五年（1288年）前后山地崩塌，村名改为邦山。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

南宋时村庄称凤山，始居者为洪姓八户。宋帝昺南奔时，福建莆田进士唐瑶甫护驾，殁于惠来闻鸡山，家属流落当地，其一子于元至元二十五年（1288年）前后迁居凤山。洪姓散去后唐姓兴起，期间村地山崩，于是改名邦山，“邦”与“崩”潮音相同。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年至1983年村属大队，1983年至1986年改为乡政府，1987年至1989年改为村委会，1989年至1999年为管理区，1999年再改村委会。[1]

革命旧址[edit]

村内保存有潮普惠县苏维埃政府粮站旧址，以及红四师作战指挥部旧址。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2023年4月，邦山村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。2023年5月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。2023年11月，入选「广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村」。2023年12月，被认定为「揭阳市2023年市级森林乡村」。2024年4月，入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
