象湖村位于龙江河北岸，在镇政府西北面约3千米处，属隆江镇。村名的由来是：龙江河绕村而流，地势貌似大象，村前一湖宛如大象下湖饮水，故称象湖。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明永乐年间（1403年至1424年），郑氏自潮阳迁入，其后诸姓陆续外迁。1949年称象湖乡，1958年改为象湖大队，1983年改设乡政府，1987年为管理区，1999年定名象湖村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

广东省爱卫会于2023年5月授予象湖村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
