蛟边村是隆江镇辖下的行政村，由蛟边、白寨、潭头三个自然村构成，地处龙江河左岸，离镇址1.5千米。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

明天顺年间（1457年至1464年），张姓从福建沙坝尾来此开基。该地原名蛟滨，1982年，人们从老寨门的刻字“蛟边南滨”里取前两字，定为村名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年至1983年间村属大队，1983年至1986年改为乡政府的经济合作社；1987年改为管理区，1999年拆分后自立村委会，下辖蛟边、潭头、白寨三个自然村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，蛟边村列入2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
